After passing by this place many times we finally decided to try it.And now we are wishing we didn't wait! We went for a late lunch on a Friday and had no problem with parking or getting a seat. The atmosphere is fun...we loved the nautical theme and felt comfortable and our sunny window seat looking towards the harbor was just perfect. Our server, Kristen, was delightful and friendly, she kept our waters full, served with a smile, and never made us feel rushed. The food was exceptional.I had the seafood stew, some of the best I've ever had! And I had the PoBoy fried oyster sandwich which was so good with the pickled toppings and the toasted chibata bread. My wife had the double stacked hamburger with fries, and a side of slaw, and she enjoyed everything. We topped our lunch off with some of their wonderful homemade apple cobbler topped with vanilla ice and caramel sauce. Their prices were reasonable for the items we ordered. I would recommend Captain James without hesitation and we'll be back.

Stopped by here 2 visits ago. Believe we ended up eating here twice that weekend.Never had the absolute pleasure of completely decimating a crab with a mallet, but it is oh so delightful. Was in Fell's Point this weekend.Had to stop.Absolutely worth it.Staff is friendly as all get out.Crab didn't disappoint as usual.I'd venture to say bring goggles if you hammer these like I do.Old Bay in the eye isn't pleasant (that isn't reflective on the restaurant. It was just the gusto and haphazardness of me enjoying my meal. I have no shame.). Sitting on the waterfront adds to the whole experience.100% will be back again.
After looking for a nice seafood spot on YouTube, we decided to try Captain James.Even though it looks like a huge ship online, it’s kinda small inside. We decided to try the all you can eat crabs and that wasn’t too bad, and $43/pp.came with a ear of corn, not shucked. Also came with soup. The crabs came out fresh, nice and hot.
