Pizza restaurant, Italian restaurant, Wine bar
Have been meaning to try Capizzi for years. Finally did and very glad we did.It was busy.Reservations are only accepted in advance, not the same day.So we arrived around 7pm on a Friday.Wait time wad about 15 mins. Small cozy spot with about 12 tables. We each had a personal sized pizza.Delicious!!! Dessert also delicious.Nice staff and fast service.
My visit to Capizzi in NYC was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. We initially called to make a reservation, but were informed that they only accept walk-ins and were told to expect a 10-15 minute wait. However, upon arrival, we ended up waiting outside for about 45-50 minutes, which was quite disappointing and dampened our mood. Once we got inside, the ambiance of the place did make up for some of the initial frustration. The restaurant is cozy and has a welcoming vibe. The highlight of our visit was definitely the pizza. The Pizza Margherita, in particular, was outstanding and I would highly recommend it. The server was another positive aspect of our experience at Capizzi. She was very polite and kind, maintaining a smile throughout our visit despite being visibly busy. She even apologized for the long wait, explaining that she was handling both table cleaning and serving. Although the long wait was a significant downside, the quality of the pizza and the courteous service have convinced me to give Capizzi another try in the future.Hopefully, my next visit will be a bit smoother in terms of waiting time.
Amazing food! Our whole experience from start to finish was great.Waiters very professional and attentive. We will definitely come back.Make sure you reserve a table !
