Fine dining that lives up to the hype! TL:DR Be prepared to pay a bit more for a meal at Cache, but know that you will get more than your money's worth in delicious food and excellent service. Details: Made a reservation for a small group to celebrate a business milestone. The building is easy to find, and they offer complementary valet parking for patrons! The building itself is nice, with the dress code leaning towards a business casual, though plenty of diners went more casual than that. Wait staff was attentive and patient while giving good recommendations. The food was...incredible.Short rib gnocchi worked very well as an appetizer, and I had the fried chicken (amazing flavor), jalapeño cornbread (just the right consistency), and a delicious mac and cheese. Everyone else loved their meals as well.Finished off with a skillet cookie and bread pudding.Everyone else said the skillet cookie was delicious - I thought it was just okay.But...everyone agreed that the bread pudding was INCREDIBLE.Very possibly the best I've ever had in my life. Not an everyday choice because of the price, but this is definitely the way to go for a nicer meal in downtown Little Rock!
Little Rocks Fine Dining experience you do NOT want to miss. Cache has style and flair. It's evident that the executive chef is very talented and that staffing matters. Our group of thirty+ received steady service and the food was excellent. I will return.
I recently shared a meal with some friends and everything was absolutely amazing! We had several appetizers and each were excellently made and displayed very well.My favorite was the calamari - it wasn’t rubbery at all and was cut into strips instead of rings which makes it much easier to eat in my opinion. The candied bacon and tuna wontons were equally as delicious. Each strip of bacon was hung by small pins which made for an aesthetically pleasing display. It was my first time trying the wontons and I was pleased that they weren’t too spicy despite having a jalapeño pepper topping each one. For my entree I ordered Lamb Chops that came with olive whipped potatoes, Dijon panko crust, kale, and a green peppercorn sauce. This dish was by far the highlight of my meal.I absolutely love olives and was delighted about the chunks of olive in the potatoes. The kale was cooked to perfection; not too squishy, not too tough to chew, and the flavor was deliciously garlicky. The peppercorn sauce paired perfectly with the lamb and it was on the side which allowed for the panko crust to keep its crunchy texture with every bite.I was able to choose the level of doneness of the meat and I went with medium since this was my first time trying lamb (I usually order steak medium rare). The meat itself was very flavorful, easy to cut through, and not too red for the level of cooking ordered.I also ordered a glass of Pinot Noir wine with my meal and I was happy that the pour was more than enough to last through my entire meal and then some. This time I was able to save room for dessert and ordered a chocolate cake slice which was the perfect ending to an awesome meal.It came with a scoop of vanilla icecream, two dollops of whipped cream topped with raspberries, and finally a big drizzle of chocolate topping.I loved that the cake was warmed when served so that the icecream would slightly melt but still maintain its shape and coolness. It wasn’t overly sweet which was great since the chocolate drizzle and icecream were plenty when paired all together. The staff were very attentive and kind as they usually are - always making sure that our waters were topped off and also knowledgeable about various dishes and specials.I was able to get help with ordering my lamb since I wasn’t sure how the doneness would compare to steak. This was my first time getting to dine on the second floor and I found that it felt far more private than the first floor seating, but with the same beautifully designed interior. It was a treat getting to have a view of the butterfly mural across the street as well as being able to clearly see the sky and setting sun. I have loved dining here for years as my partner and I frequently celebrate here for anniversaries or accomplishments, but this past visit was exceptional! The food and display were absolutely on point.
