UPDATE: These guys did and do make one of the best bacon cheeseburgers in the city!! Visited recently and it's just as good as I remember it. Amazing bacon cheeseburgers on the UES!! And quite frankly, one of the better burgers I've had in the whole city.
It's tiny and very packed at lunch so either call your order in or arrive early or late.
Your burger will taste better fresh off the grill if you can grab a seat at the counter but it also travels pretty well for takeaway.
Give'em a try, you won't regret it.

Definitely a solid place to get lunch.
Even though it might not seem so on the outside, the burgers taste delicious.
The service is also friendly and there’s a very diverse menu for such a small restaurant, and it doesn’t take away from the quality.
The one drawback is seating, but Central Park is only a few blocks away so it’s not really an issue.

Burger One has some of the of the best burgers and fries I've ever had.
I ordered the New York Burger Deluxe, and I love how original the taste was for the burger and especially for the fries.
The flavor wasn't nearly as copy-paste as chain fast food places. Also, the 2 people working there were friendly and fast, and the place has a nice neighborhood NY atmosphere imo.
