I normally only have baby back ribs on my birthday and so I found Boomers and my wife and I headed there on that day. Nice little place with a sports/dive bar feel and wasn't busy during lunch time. Ordered a couple beers and of course my full rack of ribs with a side of coleslaw and "Killer" collards. The service was great and got our food really quickly that my wife exclaimed such and I couldn't help myself to say "that's what she said!" and got a chuckle from the waiter.
😅 Coleslaw was creamy and just enough tang.
I'm normally not a fan of collards but I wanted to know and don't know why they're "killer" but they were very tasty and enjoyed them a bunch.
As for the star of the meal, while they were not "pull off the bone" tender, they were very good and had a wonderful smoked and spices flavor that didn't need any BBQ sauce at all. My wife got a pork sandwich with tots and she enjoyed them a bunch and even ordered a pint of the collards to-go as she really enjoyed the taste of mine. Overall if you're needing a nice vibe and even nicer barbecue then I can't recommend Boomers enough.

It was super busy when I got there around dinner time mid-week.
The bartender was occupied so the cook got my order and started it while I waited to put it in with the bartender.
Way above and beyond for a cook! Give that gal a raise!! I got the serious starter and a side of killer collards.
The food was excellent.
The pork loin that came in the starter was a little dry but that's the only negative point I had.
Will definitely go here again!!

The server was very friendly! The food was so yummy.
You have to try the homemade sweet BBQ sauce.....

The shoe string fries were hot and perfectly crispy.
The beer was served nice and cold! The prices were unbeatable! Will definitely be coming back and recommending.
