Reviews

First time in Macon in town for the film festival and our meal was outstanding.
Firstly service was very friendly, professional and not rushed.
Starters were tasty and well presented, and as a Cuban food lover the plantains and my Cuban press were very authentic and really delicious.
My partners cocktail and mussels over rice were both beautifully presented and delicious and refreshing.
The portions were generous and there was a lot of chorizo included in the clams entree.
The pork in my Cuban was well seasoned and slightly smoky and the press and the bread was just right.
We really enjoyed the light, open airspace and kitchen.
For a first time we felt very fortunate to have found Yollah.
It started what turned out to be a fantastic evening.

Thank you for your encouraging words, Tripp.
We are all glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Yollah.

3.21.22/long overdue review: We headed to Yollah's to celebrate my friend's crazy good career coup.
Neither of us had been there - I was visiting & she lives in Macon - even though it's been open since March 2021.
Reservations are only taken for parties of 7 or more.
On a Friday at 7:30 pm, the wait was 30 minutes for two people, so we chose to eat at the bar & so glad we did! B/c of course we got to chat it up w/ folks on either side of us. We exchanged fun banter w/ the woman serving our wine, who I can only guess was the owner.
The guac was fresh, served w/ a huge bowl of chips.
Friend scarfed down her fish taco & I enjoyed steak skewers, marinated in chimichurri sauce (which I learned is parsley, oregano, garlic, olive oil, vinegar & red peppe flakes), on a bed of rice w/ fried plantains. I loved that even though the restaurant officially closes at 8:30 pm, no one was hurrying us out or giving the side eye to leave.
It was 9:30 by the time we finished & we even got our parting shots with the signage of course! Yay Yollah!

We are so glad you enjoyed your visit to Yollah! Thank you!

Reservations were made at 1 pm and this place was still packed.
Had to find parking on the street as the lot was full. Our big group ended up sitting outside as the people inside hadn’t left yet where we were supposed to be.
Was a nice day so it wasn’t hot outside.
The inside looked really nice though. The waitress was great.
The food was really good.
Will definitely have to come back.

Hi Jeffrey! So glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Yollah.
We hope to see you again soon!
