A perfect lunch as I started some sightseeing in Macon, I arrived on Sunday afternoon to a half-full restaurant.
The friendly waitress took my order and a few minutes later, a barbecue salad arrived at my table.
A nice base of fresh spring mix topped by chopped brisket, a boiled egg and some pickled onions.
Nicely presented and delicious. Feeling stuffed but not like I needed a nap, this was great.

I just ate here today and it was my first time here.
There aren’t many good BBQ restaurants around here but this one is certainly one of the best I’ve been too.
The brisket sandwich I got with cucumber slices was amazing.
Meat was tender and had a nice smoke ring.
Very good sandwich.
The fried Mac n Cheese balls were good as well.
I only took two bits because I was stuffed from the brisket sandwich and bomb banana pudding ! Service was great as well.
The lady that took my order was very polite and helpful with helping decide on my order.
I apologize for not remembering her name by the way.
But we need more people like her in customer service! Thank you and I’ll be back someday! -Chris

I'm visiting from Texas where BBQ is king and wanted to try one of the highest rated places in Macon.
I just got some fatty brisket and a mac and cheese.
The lady at the counter was extremely kind. Now to rate the food.
The brisket was tender, the fatty was rendered right which was excellent, the brisket had a good flavor.
Bark looked good but not much of a smokey flavor.
Even still, I can't complain.
The vinegar based sauce was good too.
Compared to some of the best brisket Ive ever had which was Truth in Houston and Goldees in Fort Worth, I would say it's a 7 to a 7.5 out of 10 which is really good! If you're a BBQ fan, this place is 100% absolutely worth going to.
You wont be disappointed.
