My girlfriend and I were looking for some cheese curds and were very satisfied by the Tip Top Tavern.
The wooden interior is inviting and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
They have frequent events and performers scheduled.

This is a hole in the wall.
The first time I ever had walleye.
It was so delicious.
I miss the fish fry Friday of Michigan with my parents when I was young.
The food was hot and fresh and flavorful.
Why didn't Guy of food Network ever come here? It was just that delicious!

Stopped in last week for Friday night fish fry (walleye).
There are several areas of seating, both in and outside.
Great vibe, but main areas are noisy!! Expected a wait on a Friday night at 7:00, but not to the extent it turned out to be.
Seated within 10 minutes in a side dining room.
Server was prompt; we ordered cheese curds and 2 walleye dinners to eat there.
Server "warned" us that the wait would be 45-60 minutes for food.
Oh-oh, wish we'd known that sooner (when we walked in, perhaps??).
So we ordered and waited.
Server brought the cheese curds (delicious) and stopped by for drink refills.
After an hour, Server came by the tables in our section and told us that our drinks and appetizers were comped, due to the wait.
I know the kitchen is small, but I am almost positive she forgot to turn in our orders, as it seemed the people in the main dining room were served, left and new patrons were seated during this time.
Finally, after a 1 hour 15 minute++ wait, we asked to have the dinners boxed to go, which they did.
I would definitely stop at the Tip Top again, but never, ever on a Friday night.
