Used to be a food truck, recently opened an in-person location.
Black owned, the restaurant does west African food with a specific focus on Côte d'Ivoire.
Saturday and Sunday have unique menus - pictured is a sardine brunch that is on the Saturday menus.
I'd recommend coming back and trying different items on different days - for example, the peanut stew available Saturdays only is amazing! Food is incredibly delicious and fresh, and reasonably priced for the quality.
They also make their own in-house juices.
Despite being open so recently, service was excellent and the interior aesthetics are beautiful.

Frankly, Awa serves THE best plantains in Madison, hands down.
The food was all around fantastic, each dish unique with such an amazing blend of spices.

What a gem here in Madison! Delicious food and lots of flavors I've never had before.
The ambience in the restaurant is bright and warm and the staff is so friendly. The fried yucca is the best I've had anywhere. I've been here twice already and will be bringing friends with me the next time I go!
