Amazing German food.
Eugene, the owner, is such a great guy and an absolutely amazing cook/host.
They have the best ginger beer I've ever had by far! 100% worth a visit if you're in Portland!

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR GLUTEN FREE meals! The owner, Eugene has been running this amazing place for 30 years and transitioned into a more vegan, GF friendly menu.
There is something for everyone.
The ambiance is so beautiful, drinks are wonderful and the food is divine! I recommend the horseradish mashed potatoes AND the GF onion rings.
We are definitely coming back for breakfast, Eugene really takes pride in his food and it shows with each delicious bite! 😋 For my glutinous lovers, my BF recommends the fondue with freshly made pumpernickel bread!

We had our company winter party here.
The atmosphere was comfortable and festive.
It was relaxing and done at our pace.
The food was delicious.
We had the salmon which everyone seemed to love and the vegan mushroom gnocchi which was satisfying with the wine and green salad.
People said the fondue was good but I didn't see that many people eating it.
I think we are not fondue people.
The apple strudel dessert was eaten by all.
I thought it went well with the other food.
