The Purple Onion - Inverness (280)

Solid fast food joint with a huge menu with both Mediterranean and more standard burger/deli options.
Bunch of seating, both indoors and on a covered patio on the side.
Also a drive through.
Came for eat-in dinner on a Saturday evening and it wasn't busy.
Staff was friendly, and our food was ready in good time. Ordered two gyro wrap combos (comes with fries and a fountain drink).
Gyros were great; good quality meat, wrapped in a thin pita, and comes with lettuce, tomato, and a house sauce (not tzatziki).
Fries were good quality crinkle cut, not too thick and had good crispiness.
Pretty good selection of desserts, too!

The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely horrible.
I was told to leave, 20 minutes before closing and while still eating.
Her exact words were, “ where closed, you have to go”.
Not even a “please”… I don’t know her name, but she appears to have an African accent and her attitude needs some work.
As a cop, i don’t get a lunch break often and I happened to not have a call waiting for me after paying for my food, so i sat down to eat really quick, all to shortly thereafter hear I need to leave.
A what’s more crazy is she then waits until 11pm exactly (which is closing time), to lock the door while I’m eating in my patrol car.
If I treated people this way, I’d be disciplined, but she gets away it; Even after multiple people have posted reviews of the same behavior from her specifically.
All I can say is wow!!

First and last time eating here.
I placed a call in order.
Went to pick it up.
It was ready when i get there.
The establishment is clean.
My food is ready.
So I’m excited to dive in.
Then things went left.
The onion rings and wings looked dry and overcooked.
So i asked the cashier if this is how they cooked their onion rings.
She said yes because they are frozen.
I then ask for extra lemon pepper and salt.
To which she seemed to be extremely annoyed.
As I’m leaving she proceeds to download the cook on me asking for lemon pepper and salt and about the onion rings.
Extremely unprofessional for a split second interaction that wasn’t blown out of proportion.
I was not satisfied with the food overall.
But it was mostly the interaction that made me feel extremely unwelcome as a potential repeat customer.
