The Patio - Aurora

I’ve been eating at the Patio every week for years.
First the Lombard location, then I moved, so now this location (Aurora).
The food is pretty consistent, tasty, and relatively affordable (on par with other fast casual prices). The reason for my 1 star review is that the last two times I have eaten here, it has made me sick.
First the grilled chicken sandwich on 8/17 ordered around 5PM, then the chicken fajita pita ordered on 8/24 around 5PM. I assumed the first time was a fluke, or something else I ate, because I know the Patio so well.
But after last night, I am convinced it is this location.
Both dishes have lettuce, so maybe that’s not being kept fresh.
Or maybe one of the staff isn’t washing their hands, not sure.
But for now I would stay away from the Patio, something isn’t clean in the kitchen. I hope they fix this, because Patio has been a staple of my meals since probable at least 2015.
Other locations are probably fine, but avoid Aurora until they address this.

I recently dined at The Patio, and I must say, the food was outstanding! We ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Smoked Brisket Burger, both of which were incredibly flavorful.
The burger, topped with Sliced Beef Brisket, Pepper Jack Cheese, BBQ Sauce, Onion Rings, and a Pickle Spear, was a delightful combination of smoky and savory flavors.
The Grilled Chicken Sandwich was equally delicious, with perfectly cooked chicken and a mouthwatering sauce.
To complete the meal, I had the cheese fries with a side of hot peppers, which added a nice kick to the dish.
The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very inviting and lovely.
I highly recommend The Patio for a delicious dining experience.
Definitely will be back to try more of their delicious menu items.

The ribs are always fantastic! I found the mac and cheese mushy and overcooked.
We also ordered cake.
They used to cut it as you order but it was presliced and it was quite dry.
The kids loved it though.
The manager took our order, checked in on us halfway through our meal and when I went to ask a bag he asked how everything was.
I told him about the mac and cheese and cake and he thanked me genuinely for my feedback.
He said the only way we can get better is if people tell us.
I will say though, the ribs, onion rings and fries were outstanding! Even though it was not a perfect experience, the manager made it delightful by caring and listening.
Will definitely be back.
