One of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots. This place is always crowded, because the food is REALLY good. The parking is kind of crappy.(Street parking only) There can be a long line to get in so plan to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes before getting seated.I recommend the strawberry waffle, The super meat omelette with the loaded breakfast, potatoes and the sage fried chicken breakfast.Honestly though I've never had anything bad from this place, it's definitely worth the wait to get in.Hunger is the best spice!
Solid breakfast fare. Coffee was par for diners. A great neighborhood place. Had the chicken and waffles. Thought it was small for the price but in honesty it was portioned well. Chicken was crisp. Waffle was crisp and fluffy. There was a homeless person that parked himself right outside at the bench seating and obviously hadn't showered in who knows how long. Just be aware, this is midtown. Noise level inside was also pretty high which made it hard to even have a conversation. All in all I'd still come back. Service was great. Give them a try.
The Morning Fork has the ambiance of a greasy spoon meets classic diner. With leaf patterned Formica counter tops and strong coffee in vintage style brown diner mugs. The kitchen moves fast, it's entertaining to watch the line do its thing. The classic egg Benedict with avocado slices instead of eggs was good. The English muffins were thin and hard. The dish needed more hollandaise sauce. It was barely enough to cover the Benedict. The customer to my left was enjoying her chicken and waffles. She said it's the best in the area. The deeply browned, extremely crunchy, juicy, boneless breast meat looked great. The waffle was crisp and tender. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. She was hustling, but there was quite a bit of a wait.Overall, the experience at The Morning Fork was okay.
