This is a very small neighborhood cafe serving Italian & New American breakfast and brunch. They also have hand crafted coffee drinks and other organic juices, not freshly squeezed though.Since the space is small there will be a little bit of wait and it’s probably good for groups upto 4 people.I like how they manage though - reservations are allowed to be booked half of their space so they can welcome walk-ins in the remaining half. The ambience is lively but not too loud with beautiful rustic decor.Staff is very friendly and the service is pretty fast too.Tried shakshuka and cardamom granola with yogurt and liked both.Coffee was also good and strong.Bakery treats which included specialty cookies and croissant were also good. The options are limited of you don’t eat eggs.
Omg this shashuka was absolutely phenomenal. We also added on the lamb meatballs and they were delicious 😋 we got their smashed potatoes and they were nice and crispy.Their salted chocolate chip cookie was to die for and I'm a cookie snob.We both are big into cooking and flavors and overall the fat hen delivered!
My experience at The Fat Hen was superb. The service was exceptional, and even when a mistake occurred with our order, the attentive staff promptly fixed it.I highly recommend trying their Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon – a culinary delight, and don't miss out on the must-try ricotta toast. The cozy ambiance, coupled with their excellent hot drinks, made it a breakfast to remember.
