The Chicken Shack

The young man working front counter was EXCELLENT!! Friendly, thorough, and efficient.
The food was fresh and hot and didn't take too long.
A kitchen employee came up front to get something and she smiled and greeted me before going back to the back.
Great service on top of great food = very happy customer!!! I have years of fast food management experience and even I was impressed!! And FUNNEL CAKE FRIES - AMAZING!

I have been so excited to get this place and showed up at 9:17 pm after checking hours on the website (10pm close time).
When pulling up there were 2 female employees leaning over the counter on their phones.
We sat in our vehicle for a moment making our final food choices so we could be ready to order.
As soon as we stepped out of our vehicle, one of the employees hurried to the open sign and shut it off on us and motioned that they were closed.
We sadly went back to our vehicle and were looking for other options when another car pulled up.
The employees seemed to know the people in this car and allowed them to come in.
I understand that since Covid many restaurants close at different times, but this seemed like poor business practices.

Our first time visiting this new place, this was also their first Saturday open.
I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap and a draft beer.
The wrap was quite large, tomato basil wrap.
Cool, crispy lettuce and tomatoes and juicy warm chicken and bacon.
I went with the fried chicken instead of the grilled, but you have the choice.
The wrap was delicious, great flavor. My wife had the 3 chicken fingers combo.
Instead of fries she went with the mac and cheese for an upcharge.
She got a bottle of pop with the meal to take home and an ice water for no charge.
Her sauce was the honey garlic.
This was a sauce you could get smothered on the chicken or on the side for dipping.
She said the chicken maybe needed a pinch of salt in the batter but that's a minimal issue, overall fantastic.
The mac was good and creamy. So overall we had a great first visit and hope they continue to be open on Saturdays! We recommend Chicken Shack to anyone.
Food came out quick and very friendly and attentive staff.
