A great little down to earth mom and pop restaurant.
The food was great, hot, and fresh!!! There were 5 of us and we ALL enjoyed our meals. The fried Chicken was great and the Beef tips and rice were just like my grandmother's.

What a gem! EXCELLENT HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Very busy for lunch but served cafeteria style, different proteins served on different days as well as sides changed out but staples served daily. Free parking in the back with limited free parking in the front on the street. Choose your protein and amount of sides or get a combo with bread and a drink. I opted for the baked chicken and dressing with gravy and 3 sides.
The price is very fair and portion sizes are good.
Prepare for great southern flavor.
My mom had the mac n cheese and raved about how she would be proud to serve something like that up to the family.
The collard greens and the green beans will not disappoint nor will the potato salad.
All seem made from scratch and prepared by someone who knows what they’re doing. My only regret is that being a gastric bypass patient, I couldn’t eat all that I wanted.

I visited the Bear’s Den trying out new foods.
They held their own in terms of atmosphere, service and providing great food.
