We were greeted very warmly & loved the energy of the server. He helped us select our dishes. We came here after 5 years_ chapli kabab was fresh, moist n so tasteful. The goat karahi was our favorite. The best I have ever eaten.Very distinctive taste n spices. The appetizers bollani, n the egg plant were sumptuous.A no brainer_ the best Afghan food in houston.
It's my first time ever trying an Afghanistan food. I ordered Lamb karhai, Lamb stew, rice, Naan bread, and a yugort drink. The food flavor is just fantastic and something I didn't expect. It's not overly spiced up or hot. The meat is still intact, yet it's tender and melt inside my mouth. The meat sauce is just full of flavor, and I love to mix it up with my rice. The Naan bread is freshly baked. The yogurt drink is just right and not that sweet, which I find better. Inside the restaurant, I like their traditional dining space where one can sit down on a carpeted floor and eat. There's also plenty of standard dining tables. The price of the food is very reasonable. The service is good. I ended up all stuff with a happy stomach after cleaning up my whole plate. I'll definitely consider coming back and trying some of some of their dishes in the future.
someone had recommended that we try out this restaurant and gave it high praise so we went in with high expectations; from our side we were disappointed with the experience the ambiance ain’t great but what was really disappointing was the food. we ordered the kabuli pulao, chapli kabob, eggplant and afghani bread. the kabuli pulao was average, the chapli kabob did not taste good, the eggplant had no eggplant but tomatoes and pumpkin, and the afghani bread was tandoori naan. overall, disappointing experience here
