This is a cute spot just a couple miles from the hospital.I bet the brunch would be great.We came in for an early dinner since we missed lunch.Staff were eating so we caught them between rushes. They have a couple tvs but no a sports bar vibe.Drinks were cold and food was hot and fresh.Staff was awesome and attentive.Definitely coming back!
This was my first visit.I was out running errands and needed to eat.I googled "shrimp and grits near me" and the 5 Spot popped up.I love this part of town because it reminds me of my childhood for some reason.The restaurant has a nice vibe and aesthetic.The hosts were pleasant, and the place was full for a Saturday brunch.I decided to eat at the bar since I was by myself, then decided to take a window high seat.After looking at the menu, I ditched the shrimp and grits and decided on the pancakes.They were huge, warm and soft- felt like heaven in my mouth.I worked on business while I waited and the bartender checked on me regularly while I waited.Everything was great.I went back the following Friday for lunch with my granddaughter and got the Salmon and potatoes (no pics).

We had a delightful evening at The 5 Spot as schools are gearing up to open next week.My niece joined us at home, and we decided to try this beautiful restaurant.The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the food was top-notch, living up to its name. We enjoyed the meatloaf, shrimp and grits, and chicken tenders.For dessert, the bread pudding and cheesecake were absolutely delicious, even if a bit pricey.Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we left thoroughly satisfied.Highly recommended!
