Indian restaurant
This place has one of the best Indian food in Tri-cities.Indian food is rich with flavors and contains numerous amount of spices and the chef/owner is very skilled in creating his artisan dishes.@ Taj Mahal you will never receive any frozen foods, yeah the service might be slow sometimes but patience always pays off.Not too many places serve tandoori dishes or naans cooked over charcoal the old fashioned way like Taj Mahal
Our waitress Dawn was busy running the front of the restaurant by herself. We were the only table at first on a Saturday night. She had a ton of to go orders to take care of, but she gave us very good attention and let us try desert sample before making a decision. We double dated and both couples got the meal for 2.It came with a lot of food. Many different menu items to choose and we could choose the heat or spicy preferences.Me and my husband chose a medium heat 5.It was đĽ delicious. My sister and her husband got 8 heat.Too much for me.The food took a while but that's because it's fresh and made to order. The restaurant filled up but the excellent service didn't stop. Dawns personality didn't waver even though she was super busy. The food was really good.We will be back. Thanks for a great experience all around.
Drove 40 minutes to dine at this Indian Restaurant that was rated 4 stars. I love trying new restaurants and Indian food is my favorite. Have to say that I was completely unimpressed. Iâm not sure who all of the people are that gave these ratings but I have been left thoroughly perplexed! Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed how small and unkempt the place was. Paint peeling on some of the walls, ceiling tile very disgusting, a table that needed to be cleared. I even took a photo of the booth I was sitting in ⌠Booth 2, I believe. At least thatâs what the masking tape says.𤣠I ordered a lamb dish (see receipt) and was asked how spicy I wanted it. I said mild. She then asked me to give a number from 1-10. She said 5-6 is medium. So I said, 3, mild. Let me tell you, I couldnât finish it. My lips were on fire halfway home!!! Did someone mistake a 3 for an 8? Maybe they just didnât care. The naan was bone dry and tasteless which made it tough to eat. The last thing anyone would want to do is eat at a restaurant and look around and wonder, âgeez, how infested is the kitchen with roaches?â This was the thought that ran through my head as I dined. Would not recommend this restaurant.
