Food and service is always good here. They can be crowded at times but they tend to move fast.We tried the smoked catfish dip, our server suggested topping it with the green hot sauce, very good suggestion took the dip to another level, it was just okay without the hot sauce. Our server was very attentive, so sweet and patient.I wanted Blackened Catfish and this did not disappoint, it was soooo good. The catfish is always good here.Another table had the hot wings and they looked very good, so I have to try those next time.Would recommend!
I consider myself to be a catfish connoisseur, and can say with confidence that this is some of the best catfish I’ve ever had. Pros of this meal include: flavorful tartar sauce (traditional taste, with an oniony kick), flavorful coleslaw (fresh, delicately balanced between crisp and creamy), and the fish, which was served hot, fried to perfection, moist, soft, and FRESH. Some drawbacks: The fries and hush puppies were good, but my experience was diminished by the way that parts of both were soaked in oil.Hotter grease or a little bit of hang time after being pulled up would probably fix this.I was given one napkin for a meal that was made to be eaten with my hands. There were no napkins on the table. And finally, the price: I’d pay it again, but I’ve gotten similar food for cheaper elsewhere. And something different: don’t expect Tabasco or Louisiana hot sauce on the table—this establishment offers a house hot sauce. And it was quite good. Overall, I rate it a 4.3/5.I intend to return.
Here visiting family, every family had the same idea, tired of holiday food, decided to come out. This location was pretty busy, and Hannah was our server and gave great service. We had the Buffalo shrimp for an appetizer.Just a heads up, it came with fries and lots of shrimp, so that is a meal in itself. We had the blackened salmon with broccoli and baked pork chops with black-eyed peas and cornbread. Both were pretty good.We will come again.
