Service was very good, but waited quite a while for dishes to show up. The starters we ordered were oyster mushrooms and the squash. Both were excellent so that definitely gave me pretty high hopes for my main dish. I ordered the scallop and mussels citrus buerre blanc risotto, and while the scallops and mussels were cooked to perfection, the risotto was lacking in flavor.Pretty much tasted like plain wet rice….the dish would’ve been better if the risotto was left out. For dessert we shared a cafe mocha. The cake and mousse was wonderful but the caramel popcorn on top tasted kind of stale.
This wasn't just dinner, this was a true experience!! Not only was the food really amazing and all locally sourced, but it was the little details and the astounding amount of love and energy the staff and chef put into the evening. The kitchen is open and visible to the diners, especially where our table was, and we really enjoyed watching all the chefs prepare the dishes, it felt like we were watching parts of "The Bear" (the elevated cooking in a kitchen parts!).Everything about our experience felt personal and the little touches the head chef executed felt so heartwarming and sophisticated simultaneously. We didn't order dessert, but because we were celebrating our birthdays, the chef brought us a small plate cake on a dainty, special plate from his mother's kitchen. So so glad I took a chance on this place, and on such a special occasion too!! Couldn't recommend more if you're into classy, elevated, vibes and cuisine.
The best meal I have had in Memphis. This dinner was a complete experience from start to finish. Each time I have eaten here I have had delicious fresh food and memorable night.I am a good cook so I don’t usually like things that I can cook at home. However, these dishes are like nothing I have ever made- or ever had anywhere else.Truly a gem in this city.
