My order was ready when I arrived. Food was hot and delicious. Loved their California Burrito Special.

California burrito is huge, okay, but it's not only the most important thing in the dish. The Beef was dry and barely warm. Fries the same. Good thing that I added sourcream, but it was added so small, and it's paid extra :( Usually, I don't add any salsas bcuz I love origin tastes, but this time, I had to IDK maybe they just tired after a long day, I was 7:00 pm, but it is what it is..

I have been going to Sombreros since high school.
There is just something about the hard chicken taco with the hot red sauce and Cali burrito that just completes a trip home for me.
It is one of few places that always make “the list”— the places I always go to when I am here.
On my most recent trip, I noticed they finally brought back the shredded beef burrito.
That item has been off the menu for years, and it was one of my dad’s favourite things to eat.
It tasted as good as ever and just as I remembered.
They have been consistently good for the past 20 years, and the service has always been really friendly at the locations I’ve been to (Carmel Mtn and Rio San Diego).
I just had my hard chicken taco with the hot red sauce fix for dinner tonight….
