I cannot even express how happy I was when visiting today.
First, we were running late and they were so kind and accommodating.
Next, I told them that I had 3 students and one parent I was bringing were new to the US.
With that, our waiter, Sergio, promised us an unforgettable experience.
That is exactly what it was.
My students were in awe the entire time.
Our chef, Cal, went out of his way to do as many tricks as he could.
He put smiles on their faces that would fill any heart.
Before we had Chef Cal, we had a different chef, Ezequiel, who came to us by mistake but in the 10 minutes we had him, he filled their hearts with joy. My students loved this experience so much that they asked me to write a note to the chef.
It was the sweetest thing. The food was wonderful.
Every staff member we encountered was genuinely kind.
Thank you for providing these littles with an experience of a lifetime.
They are still obsessed with the egg trick!

Queen Revonna and I dined here as our final dinner while in San Diego.
It was very memorable! Reservations were for 7:30 but we were informed upon arrival that there would be a delay.
It was worth the wait! I order the Yakisoba trio and chicken fried rice.
My queen ordered steamed rice and a salmon entree.
I recommend this restaurant for anyone celebrating a special occasion! The tables are set in eights, so we were seated at a table of six, which we did not mind. For some tables, they sang happy birthday songs and used cymbals! My queen and I were just there for a date so privacy wasn't necessary.
Our chef, Kevin, was making designs (heart and Mickey Mouse) with the fried rice and making cartoon character sounds (Mickey Mouse) which was great since there was a child in the party we were seated with.
I loved this experience! The food was too much for me to finish.

We had a fantastic birthday celebration for my son at Benihana San Diego yesterday! Our party of seven was comfortably seated around the teppanyaki table (which sits eight). From the moment we walked in, the customer service was excellent.
The hostess greeted us warmly, and our server was attentive and helpful throughout the entire meal.
But the real star of the show was our chef, Jake! He was hilarious and engaging, making my son's birthday extra special with his cooking skills and entertaining tricks. We had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend making a reservation, especially for larger parties.
Just a heads-up, parking can be limited.
They offer valet parking for $8, but keep in mind they don't accept cash for valet - they do take Venmo though! Overall, it was a fantastic birthday experience, and we'll definitely be back to Benihana San Diego!
