Tonight my boyfriend and I wanted to try a new Mexican Restaurant so we went to Sol Azteca. My BF tried the Molcajetito plate and I tried the Pollo Con Queso plate. We absolutely loved our food.It was a esthetically appealing, everything was very fresh and good was plentiful.I was exyremely happy that I had so much food I had extra food to take home to eat tomorrow. They had Horchata and Hibiscus drink and the reviews were great on them so I tried them both.Super delicious and I give the Horchata 5+ stars as it was like a dessert with little chunks of strawberries in it. They have a salsa bar and we had jalapeños, green salsa and two kinds of red salsa. The restaurant was very clean. The staff were friendly, nice and helpful. We live close by so we will be making Sol Azteca our Mexican restaurant go to place many more times in the future. Highly recommend this place!!
The food tasted pretty phenomenal. I got a veggie fajita burrito enchilada style. It was packed with flavor.I also got a side of queso to add to my side of rice and beans. The rice and black beans were pretty flavorful and tasted even better with the queso to add. The service was solid! The atmosphere was a bit plain and underwhelming—the food more than makes up for it!! I’ll be back for sure.
A smallish restaurant with BIG flavour! Had dinner there and everything was very good.Their homemade salsa is tasty. Our meals came with Spanish rice, and delicious refried beans.Even my wife liked the beans.A nice touch is the various spicy sides, salsas, limes, lemons, and jalepnos that you can help yourself.Did not have any dessert.Judging by the volume of takeout orders, it seems to be very popular. Our friends in Tempe liked it so much, they said they have a new fav Mexican restaurant.
