We walked in on a rainy night. The owner greeted us and sat us immediately. He was very friendly and the place was clean. My friend and I split the meat/veggie combo. It was glorious. Fantastic presentation and flavors. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great Ethiopian food in DC!

SERVICE: The gentleman and young lady provided excellent customer service.They asked questions to ensure we were comfortable prior to ordering and ensured we had a full authentic Ethiopian experience.Very kind and thoughtful.We even got a nice history lesson of the beautiful artwork on the walls. FOOD: DELICIOUS! From the chicken, veggie and beef sambusas, to the honey wine to the fresh injera, and I can't forget the veggies (cabbages, greens, lentils).Everything was very fresh, authentic and great tasting.The fish has a spicy kick to it and is good. ATMOSPHERE: There was nice nature calming music from a channel playing on the TV.It really set the atmosphere for relaxed and enjoyable dining. I recommend visiting this establishment.We were fortunate to find street parking right outside the restaurant.
The atmosphere is extraordinary.Come in and experience the beauty of Ethiopian cuisine.I started off with a simple appetizer of Sambusa and wine.Then I decided try the Shewa Misir Wot which was amazingly delicious.Then, I ordered the Kitfo, gomen and special cheese cuisine.The Kitco was fresh and spiced perfectly.Kitfo pairs well with the Ethiopian wine available.I have to say I truly enjoyed my time there.I was having such a good time I invited my friends for lunch to join me for a wonderful meal and laughs where we can be ourselves and have a peaceful environment.Absolutely beautiful and the ambience of music and good service is enough to keep me coming back.
