Came for lunch and Shanghai 21 did not disappoint. It was packed and there was a waiting time of about 20 minutes.Waited and got seated - soon after we ordered, our starters arrived. We went for the house special soup dumplings which is heaven in your mouth.Burst of flavors combining that with the spicy dumplings we got from the menu.We also had the scallion pancakes which were phenomenal! Singapore style noodles with chicken and sea food was not the missus’s favorite but I enjoyed it yum yum 🤤 overall it was magnificent
Had to wait about 15 minutes which wasn’t a problem at all.The menu has many options, we ordered pan fried buns, fried noodles and the house special pork over soup. All in all I would say the food was mediocre, service was quick but not very friendly and atmosphere was very loud. Not as good as I expected with the high rating but not bad either.
We went here Christmas Day.A lot of the other restaurants had long queues outside but, rather than making you wait, this restaurant was taking names instead and asking you to come back in a hour and half/two hours. We went back an hour and a half later and were seated straight away. The shredded beef is the best I’ve ever had! I’d also recommend the steamed pork dumplings.
