Italian restaurant, Bar, Cafe
We decided to dine at Grotta Azzura Restaurant one Friday evening.Despite having a reservation for 9:15 PM, we arrived at 8:45 PM only to be informed that they wouldn't honor it due to the restaurant closing at 10:00 PM.It seemed more like a desire to close early rather than a lack of available tables, as the hostess suggested. However, we were offered seating at the bar, which turned out to be a pleasant experience. The bartender was exceptionally courteous and professional. For our meal, we ordered the pasta Alfredo with shrimp, which was exquisite. To conclude, we indulged in the chocolate mousse, which was also delightful.Despite the unfriendliness and lack of professionalism displayed by the hostess, I would still recommend this restaurant solely based on the quality of the food. It's advisable to arrive early to avoid any inconvenience, given that the kitchen closes at 10:00 PM.Overall, a worthwhile dining experience.
From brunch to lunch and dinners I absolutely love coming to Grotta Azzurra! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Italy! I love their French toast, eggs Benedict and chicken parmigiana with pasta!
One of the best and oldest in Little Italy.Since it was the last ‘hot’ summer evening of the year, we chose to sit outside. It was spacious and other guests were in good manners (not loud or smoking). We ordered a couple of frozen margaritas and moscato, which were so appropriate for the day! They gave us some complimentary yum bread with olive oil. After that we ordered pizza with prosciutto and seafood risotto.Portion was generous and taste was very classy, just like what you have in Italy.Price was good for such amazing outdoor space and friendly service. It was a lovely evening seeing people walk and enjoy their time.Would definitely recommend this place.
