Seafood restaurant, American restaurant, Raw food restaurant
This place is 4.5 stars for me.The service was good, not as attentive as I'd expect from a high end restaurant. The food was good, but I cannot endorse the clam chowder as the best I've ever had and the lobster roll was quite small. The grande seafood tower was great and worth the cost. The beet salad was funny.See picture.I ate each cube but wished it had greens with it.The fried lobster and waffles was pretty good as was the mushroom toast. The bagel and lox was the best of our entrees and the best value for a heaping mound of smoked salmon. Our bill came to $410 incl tip, so it was definitely a splurge.I can't give it a 5 or 4 star as it really was a solid 4.5.
Being my first time in Boston, I had to eat a lobster roll and I was told this was the place to do it.Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The lobster roll bread was soft yet toasty and buttery. The lobster that was inside the roll was very meaty and packed lots of flavor. One of my friends ordered the fish and chips, and he said it was delicious. When he pulled apart his fish, you could see the beautiful flaky layers inside.I had another friend that ordered one of the fish, he said it tasted amazing. And not gonna lie, it looked pretty cool to have a whole fish like that at the table. Also, (Not in any of the pictures) But the chowder was the best clam chowder I have ever tasted! Kudos to the Chef!
• Not a bad spot for lunch. • I dug the food options and how everything was plated. • The interior dining room has a decent vibe, but the outdoor seating area looked a little run-down and not overly inviting. • This place clearly aims to position itself as more of an upscale restaurant, so with those higher prices, I expect more attention to detail on the overall aesthetic. • We had to wait a while just to get our check at the end too, which makes me think they might have been short-staffed that day. • For an elevated dining experience, there's still some room for improvement.
