Bistro du Midi is a great place for French traditional cuisine with a twist. The menu is well curated with a few standard dishes of seafood and French entrees, and a seasonal tasting menu you can also choose individual dishes from.We really enjoyed the Halibut, the beet gnocchi and the passion fruit soufflé (which is definitely worth the 15 minute wait). The service was a bit bizarre, waiters kept rushing us to finish our food which you wouldn’t expect paying 100+ per person and a rather late table (there was no one coming after us).Atmosphere is decent, downstairs and outside is definitely the better pick if you get to choose. Overall, would go again because ingredient quality is great and maybe we just got unlucky with the waiters.
We had brunch on December 30.We made reservations and we seated upstairs. There is a big difference between the upstairs room and the downstairs one, although the downstairs one is quite nice as well. The food was very good. The service was excellent. You have a great view of the park and the ambience is quiet and soothing without being pretentious. There were other families there and they have enough for kids to eat, but the adult menu is wonderful.Additionally, they had vegan and gluten free options.
Upscale bistro with some fabulous aperitifs and a limited but well curated menu.Lovely ambiance and friendly and efficient service. The wild mushroom tart was a standout!
