This is just one of the restaurants I have been to in Memphis Tennessee that say a lot since I am born and raised here I have only been here twice planning to go back a third and fourth.Food is always delicious the setting is very low-key the surround windows bring in just enough light every time I go I make sure I get the soul roll there so good and I don't even eat Mac& cheese and greens that damn dipping sauce for them all I can say is DAMN!!! On my second visit I tried the chicken bowtie pasta so the best pasta I ever had Jesus had to put his feet in it
We were a party of 6 so we arrived when they opened at 11am and that made seating a lot easier. We had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was tasty and the waffles had a hint of vanilla but it wasn’t as fluffy but a little dense but still good and they loved the shrimp and grits and my daughter loved the avocado toast. The drinks were great too.
On paper sage seems like a very interesting location and I must admit the creativity is there! However, the service was not very good here. They did not have many people on staff which may have caused the delays, but the service could have been way more courteous. The food was okay, the drinks are pretty good with intriguing names and cool compositions.
