Restaurant, Sandwich shop
PHOTO SAYS EVERYTHING!!! Got a 1/8 inch piece of chicken on my $10 biscuit. These people are stealing your money!!! I've been going to rise since they opened in Brier Creek and they used to have amazing biscuits, tenders, sandwiches, etc.I just went to pick up my biscuit and it looks like they took the same cut of chicken, pounded it out till it was a quarter inch thick, and then cut it into three pieces to make 3 biscuits to increase their profits. Not to mention, they've also raised their prices, so they are stealing your money eye and making it hand over fist! I used to get whole thick chicken breasts on my biscuits/ sandwiches that were close to an inch thick like the ones at Chic-Fil-A but now it looks like they went CHEAPMODE!!!! I GUESS I'LL BE TAKING MY MONEY BACK TO CHIC FIL-A FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH, especially since they changed their biscuit recipe which is also MUCH better now.
This was our first meal straight off a flight from NJ.My BIL (who lives in town) loves this place, so he took us here for a quick bite on a Wednesday at around noon.It was empty at that time so I’m guessing it’s not a popular lunch item, and people likely come here for breakfast. There were a few different sammies we wanted to try, so we decided to split three of them between three people, and it was plenty since the sandwiches are pretty heavy. We had the Righteous Chicken (added cheese), Fried Green Tomato (comes with pimento cheese), and the Southern Chicken (crispy buttermilk chicken, pimento cheese, bacon). We got all three sandwiches on the cheddar biscuit. I didn’t care for the two with pimento cheese. It was just way too heavy and greasy. The only one that was doable was the Righteous Chicken, so it seems it’s best to keep it simple here.Halfway through, I noticed a hair in one of the sandwiches so I kind of just lost my appetite after that. We also tried some beignets but those just tasted old.We brought home some cheer wine donuts, which was okay. I can see the appeal of biscuit sandwiches but I guess the NYC in me would still just prefer a SEC on a Kaiser roll (sans hair).
I've never eaten here, but we ordered delivery a few days ago and was extremely impressed! I ordered the Old School and what I received looked almost just like the photo that is posted on their website. It was so, so good! I will definitely be visiting this place in person very soon.
