Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

Context &Friday night around 5:30 &Used a deal/promo &First time here in a long while &Small party As a chain, my expectations were tepid.
But overall this experience still fell below my expectations.
While I guessed that there would be some waiting for the refills to the bottomless fries/drinks, I noticed two things: The initial portion of fries is pretty small and the bottomless sunset lemonade is filled with mostly ice.
So you almost must get a refill and then you're at the mercy of the service, which was very slow.
I had to ask for the refills multiple times.
The manager even asked what I was waiting for and after telling him, it still took awhile.
I figured they were prioritizing the folks getting their initial meals, though it didn't make me want to come back. This is a chain so not surprisingly the food was salty and portions were small. &Shortie onion rings - right size for the two of us.
These stayed crispy even though we took our time eating them. &Cheesy bacon fondue burger - cheese fondue was on the side, which I appreciated.
Comes with bottomless fries where the initial portion is small so you quickly need a refill. &Sunset lemonade - syrup on the bottom and minutemaid lemonade on the top.
It was mostly ice though.

This was NOT our pleasant experience at your Red Robin… our dinner service has been off… we asked Fries while we wait..
they came out with the dinner we ordered.
My wife’s water wasn’t filled… We aren’t checked on often for more fries and our ASD son loves your fries and ranch.
Was hoping would be a good dinner for his birthday today.
The helper seemed to be inconvenienced because we asked for fries said to ask our server.

Great family orientated restaurant with a good selection on the menu with American dining classics. Service was friendly and the surroundings were comfortable and relaxed. Food was tasty and endless fries is a great way to guarantee if nothing else you will be full.
