I have been visiting Overtime Grill and Bar for several years now.
The food is excellent and always fresh to order.
The staff is what really makes this place.
However, recently under new management, I can no longer recommend anyone continue to visit this establishment.
As a longtime patron, I have seen a few different owners come through this little bar off the side of the highway.
None like the current owner, who has no business owning a drinking establishment.
Overtime used to be a place of fun and camaraderie.
Now it is going through somewhat of an identity crisis.
Long gone are the days of a cozy little sports bar tucked away for the working people of Birmingham, replaced with an amalgamation of a “sports bar” with no beer specials during sporting events, a literal retirement home where you can relive the golden years from an iPod, and a faux “artisan” uptown lunch spot reminiscent of Beverly Hills.
The only thing that saves this place is the staff both front of house and back.
They are the only reason most of the forgotten regulars have been going back for the better part of 2 years.
I have held my opinions back for long enough.
If you do visit Overtime, take care of your bartenders and let that be it.

Dear Valued Patron, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We greatly appreciate your loyalty and the years you have spent with us at Overtime Grill and Bar.
It's wonderful to hear that you've consistently enjoyed our food and the dedication of our staff, who strive to make every visit special. We are genuinely sorry to learn that your recent experiences have not met the high standards you’ve come to expect from us.
Your concerns about the changes under new management are taken seriously.
The intention behind the recent updates was to enhance the overall experience, but we understand that these changes may not resonate with all our long-standing patrons. Please know that we are committed to creating a welcoming environment that caters to both new and returning guests.
Your feedback about the identity of the establishment and the atmosphere will be shared with our management team as we continue to refine our offerings. We value your opinion and hope to regain your trust.
Our staff, both front and back of house, will always be here to provide the friendly and excellent service you have come to love.
We hope you will consider giving us another chance to make your future visits enjoyable. Sincerely, Overtime Grill and Bar Management

After a bit of an order mixup, they brought out my Longhorn burger, which was perfect, with bacon and BBQ sauce.
Fries were plentiful and crispy, but I prefer a little more seasoning.
Fried pickle chips were nice and hot, but batter was a little thin.
Grilled chicken strip plate was well seasoned and tender.
Drinks were large and delicious.
Add live music and is a solid 4.5.

Love the variety of the food and beer menu.
With 20 beers on draft, they always have something for everyone it seems.
And if you have a group with you, they have a pool table and a new dart board on the patio.
I’ve enjoyed the past couple of times I’ve been in to this establishment!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the variety of our food and beer menu.
With 20 beers on draft, we strive to offer something for everyone.
It's great to know that our pool table and new dart board on the patio added to your experience.
We look forward to welcoming you and your group back soon! Cheers!
