Stopped by for a quick lunch at this BBQ spot, and while the atmosphere was casual and welcoming, the brisket was disappointingly dry. The pork shoulder was flavorful, but I wished I had a sampler plate to try more! A mixed experience overall...

I recently visited Old Smokehouse after hearing rave reviews, and I was excited to try their barbecue. The brisket was flavorful, though I wish it was a bit more moist. The pork shoulder and sauce won me over! The potato salad offered a unique twist, and the cozy atmosphere was welcoming... Worth another visit!

Old Smokehouse has been a staple for BBQ lovers in San Antonio, but my recent visit left me a bit underwhelmed. 🍖
I ordered the brisket and pork shoulder, which had a nice smoky flavor, but the brisket was a tad dry and cut against the grain, making it tricky to enjoy. The potato salad was different - refreshingly unique but not quite what I expected.
The atmosphere was casual and cozy, perfect for a laid-back meal. It’s got great potential, but I hope they return to the quality they were once known for. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a comeback! 🤞🏼
