Wow! I have found a new seafood place.
Mambo's is fantastic! I enjoyed the fish and shrimp with combination fried rice.
Oysters on the half shell.
Lizbeth our server was outstanding:-).
Everything was just great.
Will definitely be back:-) you can take that to the bank and your stomach will thank you.

I’ve been to Mambo’s in Houston multiple times.
So I was excited to see one open in San Antonio.
It wasn’t the experience I was expecting.
It was very busy on a Friday at 7:30pm.
The host said it would be 20 minutes for a table it took 1 hr 10 minutes to receive a table for 3.
When we were sat at our table it too the waitress 15 minutes to acknowledge us and come take our drinks.
When we were sat we did notice there was a lot of open tables and they weren’t sitting more people, which there was a lot of people still waiting to get in.
We got our order in, it took about 20 minutes for the food to come out.
Our waitress didn’t bring our food somebody else did.
Finally we got our food but had no cutlery and waitress never brought crackers to our table.
We ordered soup so we definitely wanted crackers.
It took another 10 minutes to get cutlery and crackers.
The food was good but for the type of service received.
It’s definitely not worth the wait.
I much rather go to Houston for Mambo’s.
This Mambo’s has a management and service issue for sure.
I don’t think I’ll be back.
Just know you’ll be spending a lot of time to get sat.

This place has been opened in the San Antonio area for a few months and finally decided to stop by. While offering a pretty expansive seafood menu, I found that the highlight of my meal was the salmon fritters/balls.
That and the fried rice.
I could make a second visit for the rice alone. The rest of the meal was pretty standard fare, but it was worth a visit for first time foodies.
