We chose this place because of the pictures of the giant cinnamon roll.
Didn’t know it had been on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives until we got inside.
Not a large restaurant.
Seats just above 50 people inside.
Reminds me of an old house that was converted into a restaurant.
Love the decor inside. We got one of the cinnamon rolls and it WAS giant! We took more than half of it home so we could eat our other food.
This is a MUST try.
They do half orders as well. I got the porky pig omelette and my husband had to alamosa omelette.
So delicious! Everything was absolutely incredible.
The jelly they serve with the toast was so good we were licking our fingers. A MUST visit again when we come to this area.
Can’t wait to come back again.

Found this place while traveling! What a great place.
The food was excellent! We had breakfast, and their green chilies had true southwestern taste.
The cinnamon rolls are insane.
Staff was great.
When I visit family here again.
Definitely a go to!

Mountain Shadows Restaurant is a converted house right on the main street in Old Colorado Springs.
It's cozy and comfortable.
In warmer weather the restaurant has outdoor seating. Food is delicious with lots of options.
I recommend the Alamosa Omelette made with local chorizo and diced peppers. Pro tip: Come early so you can get one of their giant cinnamon rolls.
The rolls come in full or half size - a half size is more than enough for two people to share. Pro local tip: Check out the farmer's market across the street every Saturday from June-September.
