Luna Mexicana Restaurant

This place is fire.
As a vegetarian, I love finding Mexican food joints that cater to me.
The chips and salsa was good.
I had the Vegan Chorizo burrito dinner with an Horchata (also fire).
My wife had green enchiladas with double rice.
The rice has a nice little kick to it.
Amazing.
Everything was on point.
The plates are also nice.
I'll definitely come here again.

This place is about as authentic of a Mexican restaurant as you can find.
It is hands down my favorite.
Super fresh food.
Hand made tortillas.
The beans and rice are even excellent, which I have found in other restaurants just to be there for filler and very little effort put into the taste.
Guacamole is made to order and so good that I always get an extra order to go.
Huge selection of different ingredients.
You can add to your burritos or tacos or anything for that matter.
Great vegetarian selection as well.
Soy a la Mexicana is my favorite.
The texture is just like meat and the sauce is dynamite.
When my wife and I first stumbled upon this place we ate there every Sunday for 8 weeks straight.
The lady owns the place and cooks is like a grandma that you want to hug every time she cooks good food for you!

Susan was very friendly and helpful with recommending vegan dishes for my party.
I had the vegan gorditas with poblano peppers and cheese and the other with vegan chorizo and potato.
They were so good, especially the handmade tortillas because it had such an authentic flavor.
My wife had the vegan enchiladas with chorizo and potato covered with salsa verde and cheese.
She loved it! We have had a hard time finding great vegan food while visiting family in Chicago, so we were so happy to have found this place. Also, as a Mexican from Texas, this food tasted like food my grandma and my tías would make, and they aren’t even vegan. Oh, and don’t forget to try the vegan Horchatas! Made with rice milk and oat milk, they were amazing! I can’t thank them enough because some of us were getting hangry lol.
We will have to come back when we are in the area.
