The restaurant was bustling, with a 45-minute wait, which is always a good sign! We started with the crab risotto balls, and they were absolutely tender and bursting with flavor. For my main dish, I had the “Duck in Paris,” a creative twist on French toast served with eggs and bacon—it was delightful. My friend chose the duck grilled cheese with tomato soup, and wow, it was incredible! The tomato soup was the best I’ve ever had, and paired with the duck grilled cheese, it was a match made in heaven.Plus, the drinks came with little duck garnishes—a charming touch!
After looking at the menu online we were super excited to try this spot.We got there at 10am, it was super busy with a 45 min wait.Which was fine cause we had a chance to shop around and enjoy the surrounding area while we waited. Once we were seated we ordered drinks and the risotto crab balls. The risotto balls were so delicate and flavorful! I loved my little ducky garnish in my drink and it was yummy! I ordered the Duck Dynasty bowl, and holy moly at the amazing spices and textures. It was delicious. My friend had the duck grilled cheese with the tomato soup. Both absolutely blew my mind with how good it was.Definitely a place I will go back to when we visit Savannah again.
We found this place 6 years ago and it has become a staple to us ever since!! Every time we go, we are greeted with friendly staff and an amazing menu.Admittedly, we have only ever ordered one thing: The Maxwell. This has everything you need for a filling, scrumptious breakfast. The chives and sauce as well as the bun are what truly make this breakfast sandwich. The home fries are perfectly seasoned and crispy as well.Little duck as an array of other options to try too, but honestly The Maxwell is the best option in my humble opinion! Drinks are good as well, including my favorite - the lavender bubble bath, complete with a rubber ducky.Decor is reminiscent of a 1920s NY diner (supposedly) and the vibe is romantic and cheery. This diner is our favorite in the city and it might become yours too!
