The Olde Pink House is an okay experience if you've never been before. It's a great historic site in Savannah. The biscuits are must and are provided when you dine.We asked for another helping. The couple sitting next to us gave us some honey 🐝 to try with our biscuits and it was amazing. We tried the fried flounder and fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were exceptional. The sauce on top of the flounder made the dish.I liked it, but my husband thought it was too sweet. The flounder was also only seasoned on one side. The grits were okay, but we did like the butter beans and collards. The service was okay. Our waitress was nice but seemed like she was just trying to do her job and turn the tables. When we first walked in a gentleman stated they'd been there ten minutes and hadn't even received water. All in all it’s a good atmosphere and glad to say I went.
Got there when they opened at 5, no reservation and was able to sit at the bar for dinner.Casey the bartender was excellent, gave great recommendations and service. The drinks are delicious and food even better! Got the pulled pork sandwiches, cheese plate, greens salad and mushroom sweet potato ravioli. Each item was lovely and was just the right amount of food, not too little or too much. The ambiance is welcoming, well decorated in the southern colonial style that fits perfect within the city.I would love to go back again and sit in the main dining area and try other dishes line the pork recommended.
This was my first time eating here. The service was excellent, our server was friendly and helpful in ordering since this was my first time there. Most of the items on the menu I had no clue what they were.😄 So I had a spicy margarita which was like any I ever had because it had jalapeno peppers in it which gave it quite a kick.I ordered fried green tomatoes with apple wood smoked bacon and pulled pork sliders appetizers which came with biscuits and then BLT salad because I wasn't too hungry and I wanted to try the chocolate pecan pie with ice cream on top which I must say was delicious. Also My wife and I were celebrating our 45 anniversary.🤎🤎🤎🤎 Thanks for helping to make this a special night.🫶🏾
