La Nopalera Mexican Restaurant

We were greeted as we walked in and quickly seated.
Our waitress was so nice.
I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks with salt around the rim.
Pollo Rancho for my meal and Rick ordered the Pollo Texano.
We were served our meals quickly.
Everything was tasty but the pollo could have been more favorable..
I tasted like no salt or pepper was added to the chicken.
Everything else was fresh.
I’ll rate my overall experience a 7.5/10

Authentic Mexican food.
Service is friendly, prompt, and reasonably priced.
Ambiance is okay but I care more about the quality of the food and service as you cannot eat ambience.

This place was recommended by my coworkers.
I tried planning a surprise dinner for my sister.
I called ahead the day before, but I was told that they don't take reservations on the weekends because that's when they're at their busiest.
Whoever answered the phone did tell me that they would probably be able to seat a party of 10 once we all got there....
so, much for the surprise 🙄 However, I did try talk to the manager once I got there and after explaining to him 5x that I was trying to surprise my sister and the rest of my party was 15 minutes behind us, he finally got us seated.
I tried telling him that I wanted him to seat us at a smaller table but get a larger table together for my party, who was on the way.
Anyway, we were seated, and to my horror, the server kept trying to get us to move to a smaller table.
After ordering drinks, the secret birthday party members began to arrive.
So, I was able to pull it off, but I wouldn't suggest anyone try to pull this same surprise 😆 In any case, my Blueberry Margarita was great.
Everyone enjoyed their food, and the serving crew even came out with tequila and bid my sister a Happy Birthday.
This place was really lively and they had quite a few birthday parties there.
We all joined in to giving other patrons birthday wishes.
This is a great place to meet up with friends, go on a date or even solo.
I plan on coming back to sample some more drinks and food.
