The most impeccably designed dining experience I've had in a very long time, either in MSP or elsewhere.
We did the early kitchen seating and could not have been more impressed with the quality of our meal, the keen service, and focused but approachable chef.
Outstanding attention to detail, and a sensibility you just don't see every day.
Swing by the whiskey bar after dinner for a great selection of Japanese whiskeys.

Kada no Mise offers stunning food in their tucked away downtown location.
Their omakase experience was delightful, featuring unique and delicate nigiri that blew us away, along with choice Japanese delicacies we've seen nowhere else. Alas, their tucked away location led to a very strange atmosphere, particularly the odd little room my wife and I were seated in.
The dark room would have been atmospheric if it weren't for the bright red fire alarm and the three windows, two of which looked out to the bar and restaurant.
The servers were all kind and knowledgeable, but there seemed to be a lack of coordination between them and a lack of practice on their delivery. An excellent food experience, though understand the rest of the dining experience may not reflect the pricetag.

Environment, atmosphere and plates decorations are good.
However, the food is terrible.
We spent around 500$ for omakase, all foods and drinks are just so plain.
No flavor at all, except salty and fishy.
Not recommend.
