Jim's Smokehouse is the best BBQ in Austin! Brad & his team catered our wedding & we had a fantastic experience.Brad worked with us to customize a menu that worked for all of our guests dietary restrictions.All of our guests loved the food.It was a highlight of the wedding day.If you've never had the banana cream pie you're missing out!!!

Brisket (7/10): Super tender and it had that all important jelly-like consistency without being mushy.Smokiness was on par too.But the seasoning could’ve been better. Jicama Slaw (7/10): A non-traditional side that was amazing at first.Unfortunately, the flavors and acidity were too strong.More a condiment than side. Service (5/10): The people were nice.But I like seeing my order being cut.And I want my order right after I place it.That’s how traditional centex bbq service goes.Here I placed my order and waited a good ten minutes at my table before the order was brought out.Not a long wait at all.But then again this isn’t what bbq is supposed to be.This is more a generic food truck experience. ——@eddythefoodcritic

Definitely would recommend to come try this place on a day with good weather so you can enjoy the sitting area food was really well seasoned I really enjoyed the baby back rib the reason for the 4 stars is that the food came out cold even after waiting for a decent amount of time
