Garibaldi Savannah

We were passing through Savannah and wanted to try a local place that was sort of under the radar.
I chose this place from other google reviews.
The place is not obvious from the outside and the 2 story interior is typical of some of the antique haunted establishments Savannah is famous for.
The service was excellent and the waitress attentive.
We started with calamari and lamb ribs - both were awesome….especially the lamb ribs.
Then we split a pear salad.
That was ok and tasty but not stellar.
Finally I had the flounder which was recommended by the waitress and my husband had the chicken Parmesan.
The flounder was good but not stellar and with the bones was easy to eat but ended up being a pretty small amount of meat in total.
The chicken Parm was fair at best in both texture and flavor.
So overall 3.5 stars.

We visited for a birthday celebration and I properly have mixed reviews. Food (3): We began our meal with the Jeroboam seafood tower, both the lobster and crab claw were over.
While the lobster was chewy, it was still edible- can't say the same for the crab.
However, the shrimp, clam, and oysters were lovely. Entrees: Steak Diane- the birthday girl ordered this and unfortunately she could not eat it because it was so salty.
She picked at the mashed potatoes but was disappointed because she wanted a steak. I had the duck confit, sadly there was a theme as the duck was extra salted and inedible.
However, the polenta was beautiful as were the haricot verts and the sour sauce. Dessert: I ordered the pecan pie for takeaway, but did not receive the ice cream Service (3): Our service was flat.
We were unaware that the restaurant had specials as our server did not mention them.
It was only when a table was seated beside us that we first heard about specials and later asked our server about them. He stated he didn't think we were interested because we ordered from the menu.
I advised that we ordered from the menu because we unaware of additional options. Atmosphere: The restaurant is lovely...that part gets five stars, albeit a bit loud. Overall it was a lackluster experience, one that I am not keen to repeat at the price.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing.
The drinks, the food, the service.
We could not have asked for a better dinner. Kendall was our server and she took such great care of us.
She had all of the specials memorized to a T and recommended menu items based on our preferences and schedule constraints.
And the recommendations were *chef’s kiss*.
She timed our courses perfectly so that our experience was fun the entire time. I highly recommend the lobster pasta, blue cheese vodka martini, and espresso martini. Will definitely be returning on our next trip.
