Real authentic German food.Went there because a friend was visiting and wanted to experience traditional German cuisine. So there we were, in the most German looking restaurant, with the most German tasting food.Coming from a place where German food was often regarded as bland and boring I was pretty surprised to discover it’s not really the case! I mean, not a huge fan of boiled or steamed food so I guess I wasn’t going to be a big fan of it anyways but it’s some of the nicest boiled potato and steamed fish I’ve tried.Also the decor and the service were perfect.Thanks!
Been here twice in the last week.It's a lovely spot by the river and the waiters are very friendly, especially to foreigners like us.Tonight had the goulash soup and the cured pork knuckle, which was lovely - sweet pulled ham on the bone and plenty of it!
Really good food, the Pike was fantastic.Brilliant atmosphere and excellent service.Most amazing Apfel Strudel to end a perfect lunch.
