Summary: disappointing just overwhelming mushy burrito with unbalanced flavor with friendly service at the counter; I asked for a recommendation, because I’m not an expert in „Mexican“ food and also not a big fan, but the high frequency of visitors made me want to try it: the recommendation was the wicked beef burrito Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): - Burrito wicked beef: beef was ok, unbalanced flavor overall with too much of everything making it a mushy „I don’t know what I am eating“ experience; took a little bit of spicy and that was the major flavor I left with = added extra guacamole on the side which was ok Service: + friendly service at the counter Price: + fair price for value for a big burrito; I’d prefer if they added a little love and balance the amount of ingredients so that a well-balanced umami flavor results Atmosphere: + easy fast food style

Dolores offers a take on Mexican food that feels more like a nod to Chipotle than an authentic experience.
While the flavors are decent, it’s clear they’ve tailored their menu to cater to a broader palate, resulting in a version of Mexican cuisine that lacks the depth and richness you might expect from a more traditional establishment. One of the main drawbacks is the portion size.
The servings are surprisingly small, especially when considering the recent price hikes.
It’s hard to justify the cost when you feel like you’re not getting much for your money. Additionally, the payment process leaves a bit to be desired.
Even if you’re just picking up a quick bite, you’re nudged into selecting a tip, reminiscent of the tipping culture in the U.S.
It’s a bit off-putting, especially in Berlin, where service workers are generally paid fairly.
This push for tipping feels out of place and adds an unnecessary layer of guilt to what should be a simple transaction. Overall, while Dolores Mitte might scratch the itch for a quick and familiar meal, it falls short in value and authenticity.

Loved the food.
The bowl seems initially a bit small but it gets filling faaast.
The homemade corn chips live rent free in my head now.
