I recently stopped by El Pollo Loco in Mission Valley, and while I appreciated the quick service, my experience was a bit mixed.

I ordered the tortilla soup, which had a nice flavor but was let down by the tortilla strips being more like crumbs. 😕 I couldn't get any limes or salsa to enhance my meal, which was disappointing for a Mexican spot.

The atmosphere felt casual but perhaps too relaxed - staff seemed overwhelmed, and the tables could use more attention. I hope they can regain their usual fresh food and engaging service soon! 🌮
