Excited that Dough Zone was coming into Portland after having a great experience in Seattle.
The location and atmosphere was great, right next to the waterfront.
The food was pretty good and reasonably priced.
The reason for the 4 stars is the service.
The table we were placed on was not cleaned thoroughly and service was slow where the servers were inattentive.
The restaurant wasn't busy so we were confused why service was slow.
It could've just been that day, but just wanted to share my experience.

I don't have much experience with this style of Asian restaurant, but I absolutely loved Dough Zone. Starting with the price, it was about $33 before tip for the two of us, which didn't seem too bad.
We ordered a variety of items and shared them and they were all so delicious.
Service was pretty good, everything came out much quicker than I expected. There was one major disappointment: a sign on the door commenting about reduced vegetarian options, and they weren't kidding...there were very few veggie only options. Lastly, the view and aesthetics of the restaurant were very nice, I loved our table overlooking the Willamette River.

Nice atmosphere with good views of the river and fast service despite it being fairly busy.
The soup dumplings were good, not the best I've ever had, but so far the best I've had in Portland.
Oh, and the cucumber salad is the bomb!
