Celebrated my friend's birthday here, this place has very nice interior, walk-in only.Food is 4 stars because some were really good, some were okay.Unlike paperboy, everything on the menu was delicious.Service is really good, atmosphere is perfect for casual gatherings.Definitely not cheap, spent about $50/ person here.

Thank you for the feedback Sage!
I went on opening night and was really surprised by how put together Dish Society was! Everything was very quick and smooth.Service was wonderful.Staff seemed genuinely happy (not forcing it) and the ambiance was spot on. Now onto the food - We got the sweet potato brisket and the salmon poke bowl. Both were good but not great.Everything tasted fresh but the strength of the flavors were lacking in my opinion. There was just not much depth to either dish. That being said, I still enjoyed both dishes very much for what they were and will definitely be coming back to try some of the other menu items!

Thanks for dining with us and thanks for the feedback!
Iâve been to Dish Society in Houston a couple times and enjoyed the experience.Generally, I like the tall ceilings, big windows, seating area, communal hand washing area that doesnât have doors at this location. The service was definitely still getting into the groove of things, but everyone seemed very polite. When asked, the cashier said the hot chicken sandwich was one of the more popular things in the menu, which I ended up ordering. It came without a bottom bun, but they got that fixed. The hot chicken was decent, not too spicy, but not my favorite in town. The French fries were perfect though, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a nice spice on it.My wife ordered the Farmers Plate with salmon (a little over done for âmediumâ), truffle mac & cheese (pasta was a bit too thick & chewy), and half Cobb salad (fine). My son ordered the kids meal with grilled chicken strips (it was fried), veggies (subbed with fruit), and queso (ketchup instead). We didnât send it back because we were distracted by my missing bottom bun, and my son was super hungry already.Overall, I chalk it up to early opening jitters, so I plan to come back for a better experience.

Andrew, thanks for checking out our new Austin location, and for also visiting us in Houston.I can't apologize enough for your less than exceptional experience. You certainly caught us on a bad day and I can assure you it's not our standard.Chalk this up to only being open a few days and not having the right people in the building at the right time.We will do better next time I promise. Thanks again for the feedback.
