Where the food lacks the atmosphere and service make up for it.
When we arrived, they were no customers there and only one staff member.
Therefore, there's no way the food was cooked fresh.
I believe it may have been cooked earlier that day or before.
I ordered the oxtails and potato salad (which is warm mayo based 🤮) with a rum cake.
My friend had oxtails as well.
We ordered the appetizer which consisted of smoked jerk wings, a beef patty, and coconut shrimp.
Jerk sauce and pina colada sauce. All of our food was microwaved as reheated to temperature.
I know this because the food was very hot in the center...scorching.
Potato salad was absolutely absolutely disgusting.
The oxtails were okay but fork tender.
The rice that came with oxtails was wet and not dried out. The appetizer, has the same commercial or big box store coconut shrimp that you can get from Sam's Club or Costco.
The Pina Colada sauce is simply reduced pina colada drink mix.
The beef patty was surprisingly delicious, just very thin. The rum cake was okay.
I was expecting more rum flavor.
However, it just reminded me of plain spice cake. Graham and his wife are great owners and took care of us.💯❤️ Overall, if everything was freshly made, the rating would be higher.
Despite all this, I'd still return back.

JY, I appreciate the feedback and it was a pleasure being of service to you.
Just to be clear, you can't cook great Jamaican food in the microwave.
Jamaican food is art and science at the same time.
It's very specialized and a lot of work and TLC goes into it.
So the microwave statement is very misleading.
The microwave was used to quickly bring cold mayo and hot potatoes to the same temp as I explained.
And people go crazy over our potatoes in general.
Just a matter of taste and opinion.
But nonetheless, we appreciate your feedback.

First and foremost to all the people that said they didn't like this place.
Your absolutely wrong.
My pretty fiance Trisha and I went there for the first time and for our first Valentine's Day dinner.
It was very good and Graham did a phenomenal job at making sure we had what we needed.
Keep up the great work and we will definitely be coming back.

Da Blue Lagoon catered a Jamaican themed lunch for my office.
We ordered for about fifty people.
The menu consisted of: rice and peas, cabbage, fried plantain, beef patties, curry goat, and jerk chicken.
They did not disappoint! Thank you for providing exceptional service and delivering in a timely fashion! Looking forward to partnering with you again!
