A small but quality Chick-fil-A on The Citadel campus. This one is located within The Citadel Canteen building beside Mark Clark Hall. No, you do not have to be a cadet to go eat there as it is open to the public. The dining area is always clean, and the food always comes out great. They are usually busy serving cadets, but the line is always served quickly.Overall, it's a great little fast food restaurant.
The staff here was amazing.I came in the morning before the opening of the barracks and had a great breakfast. Then stopped by again during the football game for a root beer…again, the staff was unbelievably kind. My only regret is not having this here when I was a cadet.Really nice and will definitely stop by again.
Sad to say I came here not realizing what it was.Open to the public but on the Citadel Cadet campus, this is basically a loosely affiliated Chick-Fil-a franchise with a limited menu. This location is not fit for an airport and doesn’t accept the Chick-fil-A rewards program. It is in a corner of small food court in a what-feels-like a restricted area.We ordered the spicy biscuit, vanilla cold brew and Chicken Mini’s.Came out quickly, which might be the best part.Firstly, the biscuit tasted like a 7-11 dense biscuit not the fluffy buttery Chick-fil-A norm while the chicken has a really weird after taste and no flavor other than the spicy breading. The cold brew came out without any creamer (which it always comes with) and when I asked if they would put the milk in they said they had it at the condiment table. This was little “half and half” packets that you put in a $1 coffee not a $5 cold brew that comes with creamer in it per every Chick-fil-A in existence. All the while The chicken Minis bread were under-cooked and gooey.Hard stop. The only thing worth eating? The hash browns which I suppose is hard to mess up. 1/10, would not eat here again unless I was conscripted into the military against my will. PS The citadel campus is lovely and the cadets I came across were friendly, happy, and helpful to a slightly disheveled civilian who woke up way too early looking for their Chick-fil-A fix.
